A collection of immersive perceptual experiences: dark environments housing abstract animations, projection-mapping, found and made objects, video, and sound.

The Color of Where We Are Not is an invitation to create distance from the everyday. In the dark, slow nuance of this work, the embodiedness of deep perceptual judgment presents itself as a strategy for healing and resistance. Taking its title from, The Blue of Distance, by Rebecca Solnit, this show seeks to connect us to the pleasure and comfort of letting go; loving more deeply those things that cannot be grasped. In the face of the extreme and pervasive dehumanization of colonialist capitalism that sustains the ongoing genocide in Gaza, this show is a modest and sincere effort to contend with the grief, rage and horror of it all, reaffirm humanity, and reclaim the inherent value of life.
